Registration Terms and Conditions

First: Personal Data Protection

Puro Vida Fest complies with the provisions of Law No. 8968 on the Protection of Individuals Regarding the Processing of Personal Data of the Republic of Costa Rica and its applicable regulations.

All personal information provided by participants will be treated as confidential and protected through appropriate technical and administrative security measures. Sensitive information will be securely stored and encrypted whenever applicable.

Puro Vida Fest shall not be responsible for the disclosure of personal information when such information is voluntarily shared by the participant with third parties.

Second: Registration Confirmation

The date on which the participant successfully completes the registration process and the corresponding payment is confirmed shall be considered the official registration date.

Once payment has been verified, the participant will receive a confirmation email containing the details of their registration. The official event badge will subsequently be issued and will display the participant's name and the company or organization provided during registration.

Third: Delegate Registration Includes

The Delegate registration category includes:

Official event badge.
Welcome bag.
Access to all conferences, presentations, and panel discussions.
Participation in tastings, experiences, and activities included in the Delegate program.
Admission to all official social events.
Lunches, coffee breaks, and culinary activities included in the official program.
Access to the exhibition hall and trade show area.
Digital or printed event materials, when applicable.
Simultaneous interpretation for designated sessions.
Inclusion in the official list of event participants.

The benefits included may vary depending on the edition of the festival and will be detailed in the official event program.

Fourth: Registration Category

The participant's registration category shall be determined according to the professional or business profile provided during the registration process and may be verified by the organizers.

Puro Vida Fest reserves the right to modify the selected registration category if the information provided does not correspond to the chosen category.

Fifth: Companion Registration

The Companion category is intended exclusively for family members or personal guests accompanying a registered participant and may not be used by individuals professionally involved in the premium tobacco industry, including manufacturers, distributors, retailers, importers, exporters, brokers, or members of the trade press.

This category includes:

Admission to designated social events.
Lunches and coffee breaks included in the program.
Access to the exhibition area during scheduled hours.

This category does not include:

Conferences.
Educational seminars.
Workshops.
Delegate-only tastings or specialized sessions, unless otherwise specified.

Sixth: Payment Methods

Registration fees may be paid using the payment methods made available by Puro Vida Fest, including:

Credit and debit cards.
Bank transfers.
SINPE (where available).
Authorized online payment gateways.

Registration will only be considered confirmed once payment has been received and verified by the organizers.

Seventh: Cancellations

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to: info@purovidafest.com

Cancellation requests will be subject to the refund policy applicable to the corresponding edition of the event, as published on the official website.

Participant name substitutions may be permitted within the deadlines established by the organizers.

Eighth: Refund Policy

Refunds will be governed by the refund policy published for the applicable edition of the event.

After the published refund deadline, no refunds will be issued except where required by applicable law or expressly approved by Puro Vida Fest.

Where permitted, registrations may be transferred to another participant upon prior written approval by the organizers.

Ninth: Use of Personal Information

During registration, participants may be asked to provide personal information including:

Full name.
Company or organization.
Job title.
Email address.
Telephone number.
Country.
Billing information.
Payment information.
Event preferences and other registration-related details.

This information will be used exclusively to:

Process event registration.
Confirm participation.
Issue invoices and payment receipts.
Send event-related communications.
Notify participants of schedule updates or program changes.
Coordinate activities and services purchased.
Comply with legal and administrative obligations.

Puro Vida Fest will not sell or commercially distribute participants' personal information.

Personal information may only be shared with service providers directly involved in the operation of the event when strictly necessary for the delivery of contracted services or when required by law.

Tenth: Website Security

The official website, www.purovidafest.com, uses modern security protocols, including SSL/TLS encrypted connections, to protect information transmitted by users.

Although industry-standard security measures are implemented, no online system can guarantee absolute security. Accordingly, Puro Vida Fest cannot guarantee complete protection against all potential cybersecurity risks associated with Internet communications.

Eleventh: Photography, Video Recording and Media Release

During Puro Vida Fest, photographs, audio recordings, video recordings, and live broadcasts may be produced for informational, educational, promotional, and commercial purposes.

By attending the event, participants grant Puro Vida Fest, its organizers, sponsors, and strategic partners a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, and irrevocable authorization to:

Photograph and record their participation during the event.
Record their voice during interviews or event activities.
Use their name, title, and company affiliation when appropriate.
Publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and otherwise use such materials on websites, social media platforms, printed publications, advertising campaigns, promotional materials, presentations, and any other communication channels related to the festival.

Participants acknowledge that no compensation or remuneration shall be due for the use of such materials.

All photographs, videos, recordings, and other audiovisual materials created during the event shall remain the exclusive property of Puro Vida Fest, which may use them for the promotion of current and future editions of the festival and other related activities in accordance with applicable law.
