HARRY MORDJIKIANFounder of Harry's Habana HutPanelist: Tobacco Retail Sales
Cigars are part of Harry's family heritage. He is the nephew of the legendary Cano A. Ozgener, founder of CAO Cigars, and the cousin of Tim Ozgener. Since 1998, he has been actively involved in the premium cigar industry, working alongside the Ozgener family in organizing iconic events such as The Big Smoke and the IPCPR Trade Show.
Before opening his own business, Harry developed his retail expertise in some of New York City's most prestigious luxury hotels, including The Ritz-Carlton, The Pierre, and The Regency, as well as renowned cigar lounges such as De La Concha (now Davidoff of Geneva), Matador Cigars, and Mom's Cigar Lounge.
In December 2015, he took the next step in his career by opening Harry's Habana Hut in Bayside, Queens. Today, it is recognized as one of New York City's highest-rated premium cigar lounges, thriving in one of the most heavily taxed tobacco markets in the United States.
Harry's story is one of passion, experience, and entrepreneurship—someone who mastered the art of selling other people's cigars before asking himself what it would take to create a legacy of his own.
